The Window Connection - Retail Division 12/2002 to Present
Owner and General Manager of one of the most widely respected window and door companies in the metroplex. Est. 1999.
- Guest Contractor 2008 “The Learning Channel” Moving Up Series.
- D-Magazine Best of Dallas Contractor 2006.
- Established, authored and promoted a major web presence for my company through ongoing development of web sites related to the home improvement industry.
- Attained top placement on MSN, Yahoo and Google search engines to establish a company with an advertising budget of less than 1% and establish the lowest overhead in the industry. This to facilitate the most cost effective installation company in North Texas. Lower overhead translates to lower costs to customers.
- I have successfully trained more than 30 individuals in varying aspects of our industry. Some of the best-known names in Dallas’ installation community were trained by my organization. I have field knowledge, management skills, and people skills that are attainable only with a commitment to excellence for myself and all those persons under my supervision.
- Trainees of my organization include top producers in windows and doors for numerous companies throughout the country. All Window Connection personnel are background checked and bonded to 2 million dollars but more than that, they are hand trained by me personally.
- Established a Computer Customer Tracking System specifically designed for my organization, which integrates the Internet, an extensively detailed customer database, QuickBooks, and other key applications.
- Established a personal close ratio of 47% annually in sales on retail bids submitted. One in three retail appointments set became customers. The company has served over 4000 customers and currently provides installations at a gross sales figure of around $500,000.00 per year.
- Established sales, canvassing and telemarketing presentations, lead generation and advertising campaigns, as well as office and installation procedures for entire organization.
The Window Connection - Installation Services 12/1999 to 12/2002
- Attained top placement as installation contractor for both Home Depot and Lowe’s Stores, supervising an average of $50,000 per month in labor billing of retail installation services with small crew and myself.
- Also established myself among three of Dallas’ most respected manufacturers as “one of the best contractors” in Dallas (Resource Bldg. Materials, The Don Young Co., Alside Windows).
- Ran all window installations from all stores for both organizations for no less than two years for Home Depot and one year for Lowe’s managing all aspects of installation from measure to completion.
- Performed installation services for All American Siding, The Insulation Lady, Statewide Remodeling, Sears Home Improvements, ARI Sunrooms, Windoor World, and numerous other contractors on a project by project basis as needed and available.

Installation Contractor
Install windows, doors, sunrooms and enclosures in a multistate area in excess of $100,000 in gross sales installations per month. Install as much product correctly as possible while perfecting specific techniques for problem applications and for use and direction in other markets. Install product at a pre-established labor number. Train new hires and equip them to apply production techniques learned and perfected to stay within appropriate budget.
Key Achievements
- Attained positioning and moved from #5 Contractor in Dallas to #1 Contractor in the Southwest.
- Maintained an overall labor costs of 4.3 % to 6.5% total labor cost for installs.
- Installed over $20,000,000.00 in gross volume of product single handedly over a 10 year period of time.
- Trained more than 30 individuals to perform similar installation techniques to those I had adopted and organized.
- Top Ten Installation Contractor Nationally 1999, 1998, 1997 and 1995.
- Top Installation Contractor in the Southwest Division 1999, 1998, 1997.
- Eight other National Awards for Quality, Service and Professionalism.

Irving Glass and Mirror, Dallas Texas 6/1985 to 6/1989
Partner and 50% owner
Inherited one half of Dallas’ fourth largest glass and mirror company. Managed and maintained $1,000,000 in gross sales yearly of glass, mirrors, storefront glazing, curtain wall glazing, shower door contracts and other related products for residential and commercial use for a period of four years.
Key Achievements
- Attained Supervisor Position of the City Sales Department which accounted for approximately 40% of operations. Scheduling, hiring and oversight of 4 to 12 employees.
- Produced several key projects including Huffman Elementary School (Plano, Tx.), Shepton High School (Plano, Tx.), Sunrise Psychiatric Hospital (Arlington, Tx.), Mt. Pleasant Community College (Mt. Pleasant, Tx.), and Tyler National Bank (Tyler, Tx.)
- Learned and established myself as an authority in all phases of Commercial and Residential Glass Installation and Execution.
- Provided services to more than 1000 homes for Fox and Jacobs including all mirror, shower door and other glass products.
