Texas Star Doors are actually quite affordable in Fiberglass. Wood is always more costly. Doors are available unfinished or with factory staining or painting at an additional charge.

This classic style door is also very popular in historic districts and older homes when retaining the feel of the original time frame is important.

For your Exterior Doors we want to see a fully pre-hung door. That is a door with Jambs, threshold, and weatherstripping all built in one unit that is ready to hang. They run from a few hundred dollars, up into the thousands depending on the type of material and the type of glass utilized.

Most doors are hung on a 4 9/16" jamb, but 5 1/4", and 6 5/8" jambs are also used on occasion. They come pre-drilled for deadbolt and door knob, with hinges included, but no hardware as far as handles and locks. Make sure to get new locks for your new door. There will also probably be some materials necessary to complete the install.
